Dewitte
I appreciate the feedback I get from people who check out this site. Most of it is good, and I actually really appreciate constructive criticism. I'm all about improving my skills and learning about what works and what doesn't.

Here's an email I got this morning from John:

The photo of the guy with his tongue out also looks like he has a tree growing out of his head. In general, interesting poses, although I've seen better looking men elsewhere -- with a few exceptions. Thanks.

I was just a little surprised that John felt the need to send that message. I am actually interested in hearing about what people like and don't like, but I really don't care if he has seen better looking men elsewhere. Perhaps people don't understand what this site is about. To clear the air, I thought I'd share my response:

I'm not sure why you feel the need to share this criticism.

I am not a professional photographer and the men I shoot are not models. I shoot for fun and a creative challenge and I am honored that my friends and local guys are kind enough to put themselves on the line and let me take pictures of them. Very few have "model looks" but that doesn't stop us from trying to create something fun and interesting.

I enjoy sharing the pictures online, but if you really insist on comparing the work to professional models and professionally produced photo sessions, you will probably end up bitter and disappointed.

For John, I think it may be too late.
